A completely user-driven app where users upload pics of individual pieces of art as something they identify with / admire… They can give it a rating… Make a comment about it (why they like it)… Tag it with a genre / movement… Input set details about the artwork (media, date, location, current location / gallery, artists / critic’s description or opinion)…...

Fuel efficient traffic lights..
Monitor for approaching vehicles… Delay the light change for that stray car who’s just not going to make the light… It can’t be difficult to do - there is a lot of traffic monitoring in place already and it wouldn’t take rocket science to implement… Save the individual’s fuel consumption… Thus reducing carbon emissions… Help mother earth!

Airplane fuel...
Use a modular fuel cell design… Dump the extra cells before landing for reuse… Set up a tripod of landing zones surrounding airport on entry to runway (depending on wind directions etc)… Use Parachute / airbag assisted drops…
